OUR PROJECTS
We aim to achieve our goals through our projects, which consist of workshops and programmes focused on helping young people to develop their self-concept and visualise their future. In our workshops, which are adjusted for the various age ranges we intend to reach with our projects,we discuss what limitations mean to us and how we can overcome the mental barriers they create. We also consider the various places, limitations, and limiting beliefs are created, and how we can combat these by developing a better self-concept. The young people are encouraged to think about and envision their futures. We also engage in a discussion of the necessary steps they can take to achieve their goals.

“As Head Girl, I recently had the truly special opportunity to meet Deborah Tabi, whose story left a lasting impression on me. Hearing about her journey — the challenges she’s overcome and the confidence she’s built along the way — was not only inspiring, but deeply empowering.
It wasn’t just a talk about finance or success — it was a reminder of the power of connection, resilience, and believing in yourself even when the odds are against you. I walked away feeling inspired not just as a student, but as a young woman ready to take on the future.”

“The discussion -
- Extremely sensitive, insightful, tapped into key evidence based, issues that young people from all backgrounds struggle with
- Excellent public speaking and Q & A skills enabled students to engage in a meaningful and thoughtful way.
- Highly knowledgeable and experienced
The Workshop -
- Excellent activities and reflection time to discuss and overcome barriers that shape young people
- All students went away with a reframing of their self concept that was more positive and encouraging
- Raised our pupils aspirations and open their minds in a provocative way
- Well suited to the modern day
Overall a well delivered, resourced and exceptional presentation that would also be beneficial to staff CPD to support whole school mental health and well being training”

TEACHER REVIEW
“1. What’s the most memorable thing for you about the Young Minds Campaign talk?
“The most memorable part of the young minds campaign was your resilience and determination. Despite facing the heartbreaking loss of two close family members during the process, as well as battling mental health at work (sports direct), you stayed focused and committed. Rather than letting the grief hold you back, you strived forward highlighting the idea of turning negatives into positives. By you explaining how you turned that pain into purpose, for example going to the Russel group University of Warwick, it really inspired us all. You didn’t just achieve success, you carried your family’s legacy with strength and grace, holding that crown with pride.”
2. What is one thing you plan to do differently that you learned at the Young Minds Campaign talk?
“The YMC talk showed me a different pathway on how to attack my goals. Therefore i will write my goals on a piece of paper and stick it on my wall to remind myself that i have a purpose.”
3. Did the Young Minds Campaign talk make you feel more confident about your future?
“Without a doubt! Through your detailed explanation of the challenges you faced, it definitely highlights how anyone can overcome any challenge””
